Cody portable 2-D to 3-D player plays Panasonic 3-D videos, June 7, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Coby TF3DVD7019 7-Inches Portable DVD Player (Electronics) I expected to be disapointed when I received this Cody 7 inch 3-D player and at first I was because it will not play anything from the Fuji W1, Fuji W3 and the Panasonic HDC-SDT750K AVCHD. However, what a surprise to see my regular DVD's made from the Panasonic 3-D camcorder in 3-D without glasses on this Cody portable 3-D player. I made a regular DVD by utilizing the RCA cable supplied with the Panasonic 3-D camcorder and by connecting it directly to my DVD recorder I can make a standard DVD in 3-D. There are 2 images side by side and when playing the DVD in the Cody player there is a setting for side by side 3-D format.
I did notice slight pausing every few seconds while playing the DVD on the Cody player so more testing of this unit will have to be done.UPDATE: There is no pausing. It was just a defective DVD.
You have to sit directly in front of the Cody 7 inch screen to see 3-D properly.
Don't expect HD quality when viewing 3-D on the Cody player.

Cheap product., April 14, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Coby TF3DVD7019 7-Inches Portable DVD Player (Electronics) This player has potential but it still needs work. The product is a good dvd player when using the 2d mode. Keep in mind that the 3D effect is not that great but not any worst than you would expect for the price. This product does have the ability to play 3D dvd's. Unfortunately, in this country most of the 3D movies are only 3D on Bluray discs. Home made 3D dvd's should play on this product. The software to convert movies from 2D to 3D is mediocre.
This is a low cost product from China so it does have a few flaws. First of all, the product needs an adjustment for the 3D depth like the Nintendo 3Ds has. The inability to adjust the 3D affect makes it difficult to focus on the lenticular 3D screen. Secondly, there is alot of background noise (popping) when using the headphone jack. The noise is louder when using the 3D modes. The final flaw is low batter life. This makes it difficult to use in a vehicle on road trips because there is no included 9 Volt cigarette... Read more
