Not as great as it sounds, November 8, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Audiovox D710PK 7-Inch LCD Portable DVD with 2 Hour Playback and Accessory Pack, Black (Electronics) I'm a bit disappointed with this product for three reasons:
1) The product is advertised to include a remote control. It does not. This is one reason why I purchased this product. I use the product to help pass time for my toddler on long car trips. The remote was central because it would make it easy for me to stop/start/FF/RW, etc. without having to pull over or risk running off the road to press the right button. I wished I had listened to the previous reviewer who said the package didn't include the remote.
2) The product does not hold a charge after being plugged into a wall outlet for more than 24 hours. The product instructions say it should take 4-6 hours to fully charge a battery. It charged once, when I initially purchased it. I have not been ablet o recharge it since. It's as if it does not even have a battery. This product is virtually useless in any environment except the car. It will not even power on when plugged into a wall outlet. The only way... Read more

Good dvd player for the price!, July 27, 2010 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Audiovox D710PK 7-Inch LCD Portable DVD with 2 Hour Playback and Accessory Pack, Black (Electronics) I was a little concerned about buying this dvd player since it did not have any reviews. However, we are very pleased with it. The picture is clear, the sound is great and having it come with the carry bag/car holder was a great deal. The reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because the car holder is not a great fit, especially if you have the accessories in the carry bag.
For the price it was exactly what we needed for car rides with our almost two year old. It has already helped our sanity!

It was a good price installs in the car easily and most important kept my 17 month old son entertained during part of our drive. The battery has a decent life but we had it plugged in most of the time. The resolution on the screen is not great but I am used to a 50" HDTV at home. My son thought is was fine. One place on the description says there is a remote and one place says there is not. I did not get a remote but not a big deal to us.
